About the Exhibition
For centuries, we looked at the world.
Today, we increasingly experience the world through screens.
We photograph moments before living them. We document journeys before experiencing them. We archive memories before remembering them. We remain connected to thousands of people while often feeling distant from those sitting beside us.
Life Through Screens is a contemporary figurative art exhibition that explores attention, memory, identity and human connection in the digital age.
Rather than questioning technology itself, the exhibition asks a quieter and more personal question:
What remains when the screen goes dark?
Through a series of psychologically driven figurative works, visitors encounter moments that feel deeply familiar—a family sitting together but emotionally elsewhere, a child growing up beneath constant documentation, a couple separated not by distance but by distraction, an individual choosing silence over endless notifications, and a single child who still remembers to look up.
Each artwork is designed not simply to be viewed, but to be experienced as a mirror reflecting our own contemporary lives.
The Artistic Process
Every artwork in Life Through Screens begins as a digitally composed image printed on raw brown kraft paper.
Each print is then transformed through extensive hand intervention using acrylic paint, sketch pens, oil pastels, dry media and expressive mark-making. Layers are added, removed, corrected and rebuilt until the work exists between digital precision and human imperfection.
This original visual language, developed specifically for the exhibition, is called Cognitive Layering.
The exposed kraft paper becomes a metaphor for memory itself—unfinished, vulnerable and continually rewritten.
No two works are identical. Every piece carries visible traces of the artist’s hand, making each artwork a unique original.
Featured Works
The exhibition includes a series of large-scale contemporary figurative works, including:
- The View Is Real
- Together, Yet So Far Apart
- Quiet Mode
- One More Minute
- Archive
- Before I Knew Myself
- Look Up
Alongside the paintings, visitors will experience immersive installations including SCREEN LIGHT, a wall of glowing blank screens, and FAMILY PORTRAIT, a participatory installation where visitors unknowingly become part of the artwork.
